Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre

Client: Lydon Lynch

Location: Bridgewater, Nova Scotia

The construction of the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre began in August 2011. The estimated $33.4 million project included an NHL size ice pad, aquatic centre, public library and more! As a member of the design team, Aqua Plans provided design and consulting services for the state-of-the-art aquatic centre. The Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre’s (LCLC) indoor aquatic facility was designed to accommodate a wide range of activities and classes including instructional, recreational and competitive. This multi-functional facility offers programs to meet a variety of age-levels, skills and interests.

Swimmers visiting the LCLC's aquatic centre have access to a 25M competition pool, leisure pool, therapy pool and diving board. With an accessibility ramp and a pool lift, the aquatic facility is fully accessible.

"Lydon Lynch Architects would recommend Aqua Plans as a pool consultant for any size project. Their team demonstrated skills, enthusiasm and experience throughout, and it was a pleasure working with them on this 100,000 square foot Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre. The lap pool, play pool and spa pool are some of the best features of this facility and a make for a pool complex that the local community can be very proud of. "
