Client: Montgomery Sisam Architects
Location: Chatham-Kent, Ontario
Designed by Montgomery Sisam Architects, the new Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent will provide outpatient rehabilitation, respite, recreation, and specialized services for local children and youth with physical, developmental, and communication challenges. Located on a 6-acre site, the 50,000 sq. ft. facility replaces the existing building, which is less than half the size. The new centre includes a therapy pool, gymnasium, treatment and therapy spaces, outdoor recreational areas, and administrative offices.
The Therapy Pool, designed by Aqua Plans Aquatic Consultants Inc., incorporates rehabilitation and sensory features tailored to the needs of children. A full perimeter overflow system ensures optimal water quality, supporting safe and effective therapy sessions.
