Moxy Banff

Client:

Location: Banff, Alberta

Ranked by CNN Travel as one of the "Sexiest New Hotels for 2024," the Moxy Banff opened in January following a $30-million transformation of Banff’s first commercial motor hotel, the 1964-built Voyager Inn. Part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio, Moxy Hotels launched in Europe in 2014 with Moxy Milan and now spans over 125 locations worldwide.

Designed by METAFOR, Moxy Banff features 109 uniquely styled rooms that offer guests a playful journey through time. Highlights include an upside-down bear wearing headphones at Bar Moxy, fresh all-day offerings served from a restored 1966 VW Kombi food truck, chairlift-inspired liquor baskets, and a retro vinyl collection of more than 200 records in the “Voyager Room.”

In the courtyard, a vibrant social hub offers guests two aquatic options: a pool and a hot spa. Designed by Aqua Plans Aquatic Consultants Inc., both feature full tile finishes and automatic safety covers, letting guests choose whether to cool down or warm up.
